Barefoot Spas Customer Service and Support

I bought a Barefoot spa hot tub in July at a spa show. They delivered it for me to my back patio where I had an electrician install the nest day. The spa was all pretty quick to set up. I did have two issues when I first hooked it up and wasn’t working properly, but a couple calls to barefoot spas customer service took care of it.

I had a hard time finding the number directly to the barefoot warranty department, so here’s the barefoot spas customer service and support phone number in case anyone else can’t find it: (804) 298-3950. Hope that helps!

The first problem was with the cover for the hot tub. When the unloaded it, we noticed the cardboard box with the cover in it, was already opened. They assured me it was fine. Turns out, it was missing parts of the buckles where you clamp down the straps on the side. Its the part you have to install on the siding of the hot tub to attach the cover in case of wind and for other safety reasons.

I called barefoot spas customer service and support and explained what happened. The made me take a picture of the cover (not sure why) and send it. I thought it was going to be a long drawn out process, but they sent me tracking info same day on a shipment for my missing part. We can’t really argue against that because they did solve the problem quickly.

My second problem was recently. This time is was a little more serious. I came outside last week and to a puddle of water around the spa on my patio. It was a leak!!! When I removed the siding to look inside, I found a pool of water collected in the bottom. It was dripping from behind one of the jets in the bottom seat. Again, I called, explained what happened, sent ANOTHER set of pictures, and the next day they had a service guy out here to patch it up. They made me fill out a credit card form, but they never charged my credit card. I still don’t understand why they needed my credit card information, but I didn’t argue (that much), and in the end, they didn’t charge it.

The hot tub has been amazing to own. My wife and I love it. We understand things like this happen where you have problems and you have to call customer service/warranty repair, etc. I will say that we are very glad we did not buy a used one. If we did, we would be stuck paying for these sorts of repairs. So far, all problems I’ve come across have been covered under warranty, and the barefoot spas customer service has been relatively easy to work with. For that, we are very thankful!

      1. I never had to call them but my brother did (he also has a barefoot spa) and they said barefoot spas customer service was great. Not sure about the details though in terms of wait time…

        1. Got my heating coil replaced under warranty. Took about a week after calling barefoot spas customer service. They shipped that part to my home address, and sent the guy out to put it in for me.

            1. Yes, the heating coil is why I called barefoot spas customer service. It wasn’t really customer service. It was a warranty department I guess? Anyway, the coil and the housing around it started to leak. They replaced it with an entirely new heater and housing.

                  1. Yes, it does matter… sort of. If a hot tub has a bad coil, the chances of it springing a leak are greater in the cold. Most heating coils don’t go bad or leak if they are relatively new. I’ve never had an issue with the 3 hot tubs I’ve owned in the past or my barefoot I own currently.

Hi Alexander. At Barefoot spas, this is the typical process we follow for warranty/repair work. We have a national service network of technicians. Normally, if you are having problems, we are able to get someone out to our customers quickly like we did for you, and yes, we prefer to ship any necessary parts directly to our customers for quality assurance purposes. Thank you for your patience with us, and we are glad to hear your issue was resolved.

      2. ***BAREFOOT SPAS RESPONSE***

Helping our customers when they have technical issues is of vital importance to us at Barefoot Spas. We do ask you call us first, (or your authorized retailer depending on where you bought your spa). We can walk you through helpful troubleshooting steps over the phone or via email first, and often times, this process can resolve issues without having to wait for a service tech to be scheduled. However, in the event that a service tech is needed, we will dispatch one for you like we did for Ashley in the above example.

          1. When I spoke to the barefoot spas customer service department. The girl said there are several vendors online that sell compatible parts. I don’t have the list, but I’m sure if you call them, they can give it to you. Mine was under warranty, so they just sent me the part, and I didn’t have to go searching around for it.

    1. Did barefoot spas customer service not give you a lead time for your support ticket? They got to me next day after request. I think it was an email I got about the lead time.

  1. They are pretty quick I guess. The first time I contacted barefoot spas customer service about the cover I got through to a person. The 2nd problem I had to leave a message and they got back to me later that day. Once I got the ball moving on that it got resolved pretty quickly. I googled it, and from what I understand, this sort of thing happens a lot with brand new hot tubs and leaks. Apparently, things get get banged up and come loose in shipping. Why do you ask? Have you not been able to get a hold of them? My reps name was Cindy I think…

    1. Same thing happened to me. I left a message and the next day a woman returned my call. Another time I contactd them by email, and I got a response after 5 minutes.

      1. I too had trouble contacting barefoot spas customer service and support. Had to leave a message, but when they called back, I talked to a person, not a robot. That person also spoke proper English. I can’t say the same for my experience with Tmobile every time I call 🙂

        1. I was able to contact barefoot spas customer service no problem. I called the hotline I talked to someone at the manufacturer. I only called once, but it went fine. Maybe this is becuase my spa is under warranty?

        2. *** Barefoot Spas Response ***

  2. I advent tried calling barefoot spas customer service because my spa is used an out of warranty. Trying to fix it myself. I have small leak. Do you know how to fix that? It’s from the back of the jet on the inside of the panel.

  3. I fixed the problem. I did call barefoot spas customer service. Even though I’m out of warranty, they told me I would still need to get an authorized technician to work on it. However, I talked to a plumber friend of mine and came up with a DIY solution that works for now. Thank you!

    1. Silicone is not the best for plumbing leaks. It works when the pipes and joints are warm, but if they cool down, the silicone can contract. Just make sure you always keep your temp high and you should be fine. Good thing it’s a hot tub and not a cold tub right? Still, I would be sure to keep the water temp above 100 degrees at all times. Hope this helps!

  4. Barefoot spas customer service said they would have a tech out for us to fix the hot tub yesterday, and we still haven’t heard back. They said it would be 1-2 business days….

  5. They came out and got it fixed finally. It took about a week for them to get out here. I’m not complaining because it was covered under warranty, and wasn’t sure if they were gonna do it like that.

  6. Kevin, what broke in your spa? Barefoot spas customer service told me my leaking pipes are NOT covered under warranty. My spa is only 2 years-old! I’m still waiting to hear back fro the supervisor…

  7. My heater went out. It was faulty. They got it covered completely as it was no fault of mine and it was defective. I’m curious; what problem are you having with barefoot spas customer service where they won’t cover under warranty?

  8. More like what problem am I NOT having… The pipes are completely screwed up. I’ve got about 4 major leaks. Again, this spa is barely 2 years old! They tried to tell me the leak was my fault because I didn’t get all the water out the pipes. Can you believe that? There was barely any water in there when it got to freezing temps.

  9. that us really unfortunate. I guess you really have to follow the guidelines on winterizing. Where do you live where it got that cold? I guess I can see why they don’t cover that becuase it’s like user maintenance right?

  10. I don’t care, they should still cover it under warranty. I do not see anywhere written where is says I have to call barefoot spas in order to winterize my hot tub! Besides, I did winterize it. There was only a small amount of water in the pipes.

        1. I had no problem at all with barefoot spas customer service. They took care of us, and got my part replaced under warranty as promised. We had a leak on the inside near the lounger chair.

        2. So you neglected your hot tub IN THE WINTER TIME, let the water freeze, and now you want the manufacturer to cover the repairs under warranty? How many times have you hit your head???
