Hello everyone! Was hoping maybe someone can help me. I bought a Barefoot Spa PL8 P series I think form the show at the convention center in Mesquitte, TX. I need to get more of the balancer and the spa bright. When I bought the spa they included a box called a Barefoot Spas first aid kit. The other stuff i didnt really use. I just need the balancer and some more shock. Doesn anyone know where to get it? Or is there a specific kind I need to use with my spa, or can I use any kind of shock or balancer?

I own a Barefoot Spa and I live in Southern Indiana. I was unable to find energy ratings or usage anywhere when I purchased the spa, but after some conversation with the manufacturer and my salesman, I learned more about it.

In the summer, my spa BARELY uses energy. By comparing my electric bills from previous years, I did not see much a of a difference. I think this is because the heater does not cut on often.

The winter time is a different story. It gets pretty cold here, and I’ve had the spa buried in snow a few times already. By the same method; comparing old electric bills, I found my usage when up by an average of $28.17 a month. I was expecting an increase, but was worried it would be much more than this considering some of the things I read on when I researched. the usage is especially reasonable because last winter was among the coldest we’ve had here. I do expect to see a little less this year as they are not predicting as cold of a winter for my area. I live in whats called the north-central region of the US, and I am VERY close to the line for the northern region. (See map)

Barefoot Spas Energy Rating Map

The reason I’m posting this is I’m trying to help my Dad. He wants to buy a barefoot spa, but he lives in Massachusetts where it is colder than here, and you can see, he is far up in to the northern region of the energy map. Does anyone live in that area and can give us some feedback in terms of electric usage, bill increases, summer, winter, etc?

I have a Barefoot Spas PL8. I love it. Big thing for me was the ozonator that we got as an upgrade at the store. I’m really glad we got it, but I cant find anywhere in the Barefoot Spas owners manual abut any required maintenance on the ozone system itself. It doesn’t really talk much about the ozone system. It just says it optional… I dug around some more online, and couldn’t really get anywhere. Has anyone learned about this? What kind of maintenance is required on these ozone systems.
